Emily is in her fifth season coaching with Austin Juniors Volleyball. The past four club season she was the assistant coach for AJV 12 Navy, and this year she will be head coaching 12 Red. Emily started playing club volleyball when she was in the 6th grade. She made her 7th grade "A" team and her 8th grade "A" team, where she was voted the most valuable player. Emily played High School volleyball at Jack C. Hays High School in Buda, Texas, where she graduated in 2012. She has played volleyball since she was 10 years old, playing club volleyball with Hill Country Elite, San Marcos Smash, and Austin Performance Volleyball. After graduating high school, Emily continued her volleyball career at Wharton Junior College where she was the starting Middle Blocker for both the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Both seasons of playing with the Pioneers she earned most total blocks and most solo blocks for the team and in her sophomore season with the Pioneers (2013), she earned most Aces for the team. Emily decided not to pursue playing volleyball after her two years at Wharton, so she could focus on her studies. Emily has a love and passion for the sport and continued to play at Texas State on an Intermural volleyball team, played sand volleyball, and was a sand volleyball referee at a local establishment. In December of 2016, Emily graduated from Texas State University where she majored in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration in Special Education All Levels. Emily is now a Special Education Teacher at Bastrop High School, where she has coached the freshman volleyball team, JV volleyball team, JV softball and Freshman basketball.
